| 2016 Tax Form Availability |
| Now that it's getting to be tax season, we'd like to remind all of our clients that we will make all tax forms available from within Account Management on the Reports > Tax > Tax Forms page on or before the dates listed below. |
For all US Accounts except IRA accounts
- Consolidated 1099 - February 15, 2017
- 1099INT
- 1099DIV
- 1099OID
- 1099MISC
- 1099B
- Dividend Report - February 15, 2017
- Work sheet for Form 8949 (gains and losses) - February 15, 2017

For all IRA accounts
Form 1099R and Form 5498 for 2016 will be provided to you by Equity Trust, the 2016 Trustee for these accounts. These forms should be available on or before the following dates:
- Form 1099R - January 31, 2017
- Form 5498 - May 31, 2017

For non-US persons and entities
You will receive US tax reporting Form 1042S, which shows US source payments and US withholding. You will receive one form for each type of payment (interest, dividend, return of capital, etc.) that you received from US sources during 2016 on or before March 15, 2017. For most customers, there is no need to do anything further; however, you should consult your local tax advisor about these forms.

For all IB Canada Accounts
Canadian and Quebec tax forms will be available on or before the following dates:
- Forms T4, T-5, T5008 - February 28, 2017
- Forms RL3 and RL18 - February 28, 2017
- Form T-3 - March 31, 2017
- RL15 and RL16 - March 31, 2017
Although we try to minimize changes to these forms after they are issued, information about payments continues to be provided to us from the marketplace that may necessitate that the forms be updated. If your form is updated after being issued, you will be notified by email. No forms will be mailed.
